The video was filmed in Japan. The camera moves slowly through the branches of a tree — printed on the leaves are the numbers of missing Ukrainian servicemen. The wind stirs the foliage. The camera registers the numbers — sometimes drawing close, sometimes letting them blur and drift away. A leaf as a natural object exists in time: it appears, turns green, yellows, falls. The number of a missing person is an official record of absence — someone who exists, but cannot be found. Placed together, they form an image of memory that also wanders — between presence and disappearance, between what can be read and what slips away. The camera does not search. It wanders.
