THRESHOLD Video, 2025 The video was filmed in Druzhkivka in 2025. On screen — monotonous, methodical work: the artist cleans a refrigerator truck used to store and transport the bodies of fallen servicemen. Blood, mud, traces of bodies that are no longer there. Specialist cleaning agents. Water. A repeated gesture. Threshold is the space between. Between the living and the dead, between an action and its aftermath, between what happened and what remains. The truck is simultaneously a technical object and a place where time used to stop — where a body was still present, but the person was already gone. The act of cleaning here is not a hygienic procedure. It is a ritual — an attempt to return a space to its state of before. But the traces do not disappear entirely. They simply become invisible. The work documents this moment of erasure as something fundamentally unfinished.
